Eggo farm organic fertilizer is an organic, natural products of Fidena Agri and is made from organic waste (egg shells and banana waste) to provide crucial nutrients for plants growth. The product is 100% organic, increases yields by 185%, affordable and easier to use, it has been developed through prototype, approved by NARO Uganda and certified by UNBS.
Kamula is an organic waste-based pesticide made from vegetable waste, containing levels of calcium annum, a scyphate, and chlorpyrifos to control a wide range of pests, including white flies, aphids, thrips, mealy bugs, caterpillars, leafhoppers, etc. It controls target pests effectively and is safe for beneficial insects, parasites, predators, and honeybee.
Fidena Agri Uganda Limited is a circular and agribusiness company that has been at the forefront of improving crop yields since 2020 by collecting and recycling organic waste back to food system in form of (organic fertilizer, organic pesticides in responds to low soil nutrients, climate change and high cost of agricultural inputs ) , the company foundation is hinged on circular philosophy to offer products and services to farmers and the community.
The company is Governed by Board of Directors with 57% are men and 43% women, the company has 15 fulltime staff with 60% women and 40% men, 20 casual workers 50% men and 50% women and 50 agents 65%are men and 35%women in Uganda, the team has a wide range of knowledge in circular economy, crop production, soil science, ICT experience with knowledge in production, marketing, supply chain. All team members participated in testing and piloting of the product as well as training, in agronomy, gender, training, research, reporting and knowledge in rural economies. The team are Uganda citizens, but we are open to universal employment across Uganda and the globe, to perform roles in, production, marketing, technical service, digital service and policy making and we embrace diversity and learning exposure.
